Here are two of the Saks solids that I purchased yesterday. Other photos are in my members gallery.

I really think they are prettier in person. Very feminine!

My Saks rep (who is the best!) called today to let me know the solids were in. As much as I hated to do it, I told her I wasn't buying the all the Saks pieces this year. For one, they do not appeal to me as in the past which is just my personal opinion, and second, I was fairly certain I could buy them cheaper in a few months. Coincidentally, the EL Account Exec was in the Saks store when my rep called. I asked my rep to let me speak with the EL Account Exec to share my reasoning for not buying the solids as I wanted her to know it had nothing to do with my sales rep.

Interesting enough, the account exec didn't want to talk to me. She gave my Saks rep a number for me to call to share my concerns and observations. (866)378-3301. Sort of surprising, but oh well…… <img src='style_emoticons//blink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’blink.gif’ />

    Woody,

I did the same telling my rep I wasn't getting any of the Strongwaters. I also expressed my concerns about getting them later cheaper. I printed up a bunch of JS auctions where the BIN prices were less than retail, my intentions were to bring the copies to her so she may pass them on. I then thought- LIKE ANYONE WOULD CARE, not going to waste my time.

Oh, gosh, I'm sorry, I hit add reply in the wrong place, I only meant to comment, not quote! Excuse the mistake.

Oh the hierarchy!! Don't you just hate it when these so called 'execs' cannot spare a minute or two of their precious time . . . . I guess they have to be in their big cushy chairs behind their huge 6 draw desks in their oversized-plush carpeted-air-conditioned office to decide whether or not to take your call when their secretary notifies them by speaker phone that 'one of those solid perfume collector's is on the phone'. Then they will instruct the secretary to tell you that they are in a meeting and ask for your name and number so that they can get back to you at a more convenient time (ie when it's not convenient for you), if ever. Then they will go back to counting their paperclips with their PA, only to be interrupted to have a 2-3 hour lunch with other 'execs'.

I think that's how it works. So you didn't call the number then?

How funny Sandra! But have you ever spoken to a Rep and ended up
telling them their business (in a polite way, of course) as they did not know half of what we know about
the solids here on the site!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wonderful when they are trying to put YOU down with puffed up arrogance.

    Oh well!

The secret is NOT to tell them anything! Why give them knowledge? They only use your info to get themselves further ahead in their job!! By giving them information, you are doing their research and groundwork!!

Make them work for their job, I say!!

There's a lot of surveys going around asking “how can I improve . . . ” or “how can we help you more . . . ” by a lot of companies. I think they are picking your brains. If they employed people with initiative or people with the right aptitude for their job, then they wouldn't need to be asking you such questions!!

Just let them know that they are incorrect and give them a hint why – don't tell them anything else!! They might be more gracious to you in the future! Remember, it's tit for tat, so don't give them anything unless you can get something in return!! Get your back scratched first, Jacky!! <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />
