I too sympathise with your ‘bad luck’. Can I ask how you paid? If it was by credit card could the company help? I have had an experience of having something broken in transit. (A piece of china). The packaging had to be kept for the carrier and I did get money for a replacement but the seller had packed everything so securely. I think someone at the depot must have stood on the box! The seller was a great help in helping with my claim too.
The only other problem I have had was a seller who did not send the solid yet said she had. She could provide no proof of postage but ebay were no help. I had paid through pay pal and they would only pay back so much and that is why I turned to my credit card company. I feel that you may have a problem as only one was bought through the ‘proper’ channels. Maybe if you say to the seller that you would prefer not to leave negative feedback they may agree to a refund. Most of the sellers on ebay are really nice and honest. I know I was afraid to trust again but when I put in negative feedback on that seller I seemed to open the floodgates and more people complained and so many others contacted me, like Brigitte has done to you, offering to go to the sellers address as they lived quite close. I found out what a really small world it is and that there are more decent people out there than bad.
I hope you get this resolved to your satisfaction as it can really leave a bad taste in the mouth when you feel you’ve been cheated like this.
