Yes – totally agree that the mark-up for cosmetics is extraordinary, like most retail goods. However, I still think there will be an effect as more will be shipped off to the warehouse stores and therefore much less profit. The Sales reps will also feel the pinch and the market for them will die down internationally as well. Say they make a batch of 500 of any solid. At one stage, all or most of them would be sold in retail stores. Gradually this number will dwindles down to 100.
So in percentages, it will go from 100% to 20%. Surely the net profit will be affected and this will be recognised in time. . . . won't it? <img src='style_emoticons//unsure.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’unsure.gif’ />
