Solid Perfume › Forums › General Lauder Solids Talk › Silica Gel Packages › Re: Silica Gel Packages
Hello all,
I'm not a scientist so I do not know if they really will affect the solid perfumes in any way but am familiar with silica gel packages coming along with electronic stuff (computers etc.). At the office, we leave the silica packs in the boxes while we store them in the cellar where it might become humid. So they stay in good condition until we need them again.
Therefore, I would suggest to keep the silica packs in the EL boxes as long as the solid perfumes are in your display case. This way your boxes will not suffer (so far our computer boxes did not discolor or melt down <img src='style_emoticons//laugh.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’laugh.gif’ /> )
Remove the silica gel packs when you put back your solids in their boxes. Meanwhile keep them somewhere else but avoid that children or animals “find” them – I think a warning like this is on the packs anyway.
Hope that helps <img src='style_emoticons//rolleyes.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’rolleyes.gif’ />
