Presently we're just making Pumpkin Bread for Thanksgiving…great with gobs of Cream Cheese. So far we only have 8 loaves but am working towards 10 or 12, time permitting. Then a Pumpkin Roll to take along for Thanksgiving Dinner #1 on Thursday – the actual Holiday. Thanksgiving Dinner #2 is on Saturday here with my children and grandchildren. It's so nice to be a YOUNG grandmom! <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Not much shopping to do this year. We all seem to be blessed to have what we need. This year we're gathering up our gently used winter clothing…coats, hats, scarves, sweaters…whatever is in excellent condition but we no longer use…and giving them to both the Women in Crisis Center and the Homeless Shelter. Quite a few of our neighbors have taken to the idea and are helping out. It's amazing what one finds in the back of the closet or the attic. We just pop it in the trunks of our cars and tool along on Mondays and Wednesdays. (No, Sandra…still no brakes. Am holding off as I believe it's a rip-off and a waste of money. I have great faith in down-shifting. And prayers.) <img src='style_emoticons//wink.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wink.gif’ />

I'm going to modify a little of Sandra's post here:

“I don't do too much but eat, drink several glasses of Baileys, read and watch a few movies these days with a Bottle of Baileys on the table beside me – the last 3 years I have taken to 'pretending' I am away between Christmas and New Year – I put the phone on answering machine and with a large tumbler of Baileys in hand, sit outside under the palm trees by my pool with my little trusty dog.”

That's about it so far…hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! <img src='style_emoticons//wub.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’wub.gif’ />
