Thanks for all the advise on Germany& apologies for taking awhile to get back but it’s very,very hot here – 44 degrees C. plus & all I want to do is keep cool.
It seems Dusseldorf is the place to buy in Germany & at the perfume shops rather than the stores.
Brigitte – I would be interested to know more about buying in Switzerland – particularly if they are cheaper. Compared to Australia I thought the U.K. was cheap particularly as I can get the V.A.T. back but I can also do that with Switzerland too – and it’s not a problem to go there when we visit Germany.
Nata – Lucky you going to Russia. We spent this New Years Eve in St. Petersburg & just loved it. GUM had 2 Estee Lauder stores, one just for perfumes & the other make-up & skin products.
Maggie – The solids in Moscow were from the past 2 years. I bought my Birdcage Christmas 1999-2000 & it was either here or in Toyko & I can’t remember seeing one since but if I ever see another one I will let you know.
