Lisa: in regards to the faux ivory bottle on chain you have; liquid perfume was in it. They made it in red as well because i have both the ivory and deep red one. women wore them around their neck and touched up their fragrance as needed…I believe they made them just in that time frame of early 70’s. mine open and have a dabber type stem connected to the cap so as to apply the fragrance without pouring it on. hope this has been helpful…take care.
