Buy It Now reveal the item price which the seller is willing to it let go immediately, it also gives the buyer an option to skip the bidding process and end the transaction. If Buy it Now is lower than the reserve price, the buyer will not be able to end the transaction because he still have not met the owner’s reserve. Then Buy It Now is redundant.
The setback for Buy It Now is that the seller cannot hope to sell more than this revealed price as compared to the reserved price item that do not have the Buy It Now option.
