Yup, me too but that is where EL should step in. They should make sure the solids never get to eBay in the first place unless someone paid full price and is reselling, in that case the solids will always go for retail price, slightly higher or really high!

I'm embarrassed to admit I was a beanie baby fanatic <img src='style_emoticons//ph34r.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’ph34r.gif’ /> . I'd call Nordstrom's hotline and line up before the store opened in the morning to get the new releases. I bought some on ebay for over $100 each. Now they're worth $2 or less apiece. I stopped after Ty began mass-producing them and selling “retired” beanies in supermarkets. I'm afraid we are facing a similar phenomenon with the EL solids. Corporate America doesn't care about collectors. They want their profit here and now, and will discount inventory if necessary. As Lisa pointed out, the scarcer, older solids MAY hold their value, but the new ones probably won't. I will only buy now if I LOVE them…and will hold out for LOW prices. <img src='style_emoticons//mad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’mad.gif’ /> Ar
