That's just bleeding typical of what goes on over here on a daily basis!! You have no idea of what our council's are like!! You can't even touch a tree without asking permission and getting a certificate first (even though it's on your land!)!!
On the application, you have to identify the tree, draw it in relation to the land and buildings, and say what part of it you intend to cut.
If you chop one down without permission, there is a $5000.00 for every one!! (And you aren't really allowed to do it yourself either – you have to get in the tree specialist) (and believe me, neighbours dob you in!!) <img src='style_emoticons//mad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’mad.gif’ />
