Thanks Lisa! It will be interesting to compare now that the signatures are on site!
All Harrods signed pieces usually come with both boxes, i.e. Gold and White but unfortunately they are not accompanied by a Certificate of Authentication. Mr. Al Fayed often signs the top of the Gold Box as well as the small card relevant to the solid. The ones of mine which I have been able to check for the moment, have the top of the Gold Box signed as well as the card. I still have to check one or two others.
Today, which I will be writing about under a different heading, appears to be the
most assured way of determining authenticity i.e. Jay Strongwater' Certificate accompanying the solid or item! Had I known your problem Greyhound, I would have tried to get your Certificate !!!!! <img src='style_emoticons//sad.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’sad.gif’ />
