Interesting scoop, Chowlover. I'm crazy about dogs – I know what you mean. <img src='style_emoticons//smile.gif’ border=’0′ style=’vertical-align:middle’ alt=’smile.gif’ />

Well, fortunately or unfortunately, my mom left me many, many others. I'm keeping a few that I love but have many to sell. The hard part is doing the research and finding out a starting point.

The Imperial Princess was on Ebay a couple of months ago, that's why sh's not showing up in completed sales. The last one even had a broken hinge and went sky high. I think her value is based on the rarity of the piece.  She's from the early 80″s, and people just don't hang on to their solids like they should! If you check the solid database, you can see what her original price was. I love the ivories from the early 80's. The red imperial foo dog is my favorite but that's cause I'm crazy about chows! I invested in an English Emblem, on the good advice of members from this site. Only 150 were made, so it's gone up in value already! Even if you don't like her I would hold on to her. Wait and see what another one goes for on Ebay, it will blow your mind! Did your Mom collect others, or was she just something special she saved? I would save it as a special memory of your Mom.
